HOMEBUYER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Helps local families with limited resources obtain their first home (existing or new construction) by providing up to $18,000 in down payment/closing cost assistant. 0% interest, deferred loans (no monthly payments). Loans become due upon the sale, transfer, or once home is no longer the primary residence of the borrower. Application is submitted by the first lender.

Eligibility
|
First time homebuyer(s); and
Currently live/work in Frederick County; and
Meet income requirements; and
Purchase a home in Frederick County; and
Complete HUD-approved education; and
Be approved for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage; and
Occupy the Frederick County home as primary residence; and
Purchase a one-year home warranty and a home inspection; and
Conduct a lead paint risk assessment; and
No co-signers. (All applicants must occupy home.)
