Frederick Health Hospice
Resource Details
Alternate Name Hospice of Frederick County, Inc.
Description HOSPICE CARE: Provide medical, emotional, spiritual, and bereavement support to individuals and their loved ones facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice services are provided to patients where they reside, including long term care facilities and at our Kline Hospice House. For the bereaved in our community, they offer at no charge a variety of daytime/evening ongoing open-ended grief support groups, workshops, seminars, and one-on-one counseling to those struggling with grief. For children who have lost a loved one, we offer a weekend bereavement camp for ages 6-14 years of age at no cost to the families.

1) OUTPATIENT: Nurses, home health aides, a social worker, a pastoral care counselor, and specially-trained volunteers provide medical, emotional, and spiritual support to those terminally ill individuals and their families.

2) INPATIENT: Kline Hospice House is a residence for people with a life expectancy measured in weeks that can no longer stay in their homes.

3) CAMP JAMIE: A weekend bereavement camp for children approximately 6-14 years of age at no cost to families. Camp Jamie is held two times per year. Our weekend sleepover camp is held in the spring. Our NEW one day camp is held in the fall. Each camp provides unique opportunities to express and communicate grief in a healthy and safe environment.
