Description
|
ADOPTION: Provides services which enable children to become free for adoption and placed with adoptive parent(s). Services can be provided at the direct request of the child's birth parents or initiated by foster care staff for children who have been abandoned or who have been in foster care with no chance of returning to their families.
Children are placed with adoptive parents who have previously applied to adopt and have been approved to do so through a home study process. Most of the children have special needs and disabilities. Also assists with adults who were adopted in MD and would like to locate their birth parents. In addition, they assist with birth parents who placed a child for adoption and now wants to locate that child.
