Description
|
FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION: Places at-risk children into an approved foster home, a therapeutic foster family home, a group home, or a residential treatment center. Also coordinates the adoption process. - KINSHIP CARE: Places children who must live apart from their parents with relatives whenever possible.
- FOSTER CARE: Places children in foster homes or group homes when the child is believed to be at risk of abuse or neglect. Permanent placement is the focus of the service with reunification being the preferable plan whenever possible.
- FOSTER/ADOPTIVE HOME LICENSING: A program that requires licenses for those families providing 24-hour care for non-related children. Once approved, foster/adoptive parents receive board payments, a Medical Assistance card and a clothing allowance for the support of the foster child. Interested families can be dually licensed for foster care and adoption. Regular information meetings are held.
