Eligibility People in Baltimore County who are at risk of homelessness or who are already homeless. Individuals/families are eligible for shelter placement up to 90 days. Eligibility for other programs will be based on circumstances.
Program Fees None.
Application Process Call the Coordinated Entry hotline at 410-887-8463, Option 1 to discuss current circumstances with a screener. If necessary, people should leave a voice message with their name and phone number, speaking clearly, and someone will get back to them within 24-48 hours. If it is an emergent situation, people should continue to call back to reach a live person. Shelter entry depends on rating and other programs will be considered during assessment. For shelter, people should call each morning for availability. The Baltimore County shelters may not accept anyone after 4PM, so individuals should make an effort to call by 2 or 3PM. Individuals or families presenting as the most vulnerable are prioritized. They do not take people over the weekend. The agency will send a referral on behalf of the person or family if space is available. If there is no space available for shelter, the person/family will be placed on a wait list for the following day. When space becomes available, the agency will call and offer the available space. Some may be referred to rapid rehousing or other programs if the individual/family meet income requirements and other variables.
