Description
|
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Provides emergency cash assistance (grant) to families with children. Assists with heat, utility cut-offs and burial assistance. Amount varies based on situations, income and assets, and may be used only once in a 24-month period.
Also provides funds to persons who have experienced an official disaster (hurricane, flood, fire). Children 18-21 must be enrolled full-time in school. For burial assistance, the person that passed away must have been receiving either TCA or SSI, and has a child. Families applying for benefits must provide proof of need such as utility cut-off notice and proof of possible eviction.
