CHILDHOOD LEAD POISONING PREVENTION PROGRAM: Offers legal enforcement and case management for children with lead poisoning. Also provides free carbon monoxide detectors to homeowner families with children who are receiving services for elevated lead levels in their blood and families who have children 6 and under where the home health hazards exist. By law all landlords must be responsible for having carbon monoxide detectors in their rental properties.
ASTHMA PROGRAM: Helps reduce asthma disparity by providing education and offering home visits to help children better manage their asthma. Provides community education and support programs on asthma including pest control and management.
INJURY PROGRAM: Provides inspections and referrals for smoke detectors, fire safety planning, and carbon monoxide point source and ambient level inspections. In addition, provides infant safe sleep education and crib referrals, and inspections and education for pregnant and postpartum women in hazardous housing.
