EXTREME WEATHER: Operates Nov 15 -Apr 15 when the temperature forecast calls for freezing weather. Persons experiencing homelessness can call the Coordinated Entry line 410-887-8463, and select option 1 to confirm activation and bed capacity at anytime. Shelter activation may be extended to include daytime hours when County offices are closed due to severe weather conditions. Men and women are separated unless it is a family. Activation begins at 6PM and continues through 9AM the following morning. Guests are asked to arrive for intake between 6-10PM. Freezing Weather Shelter beds are available at the following locations: - The Eastern Family Resource Center located at 9150 Franklin Square Drive, Rosedale, MD 21237-the Freezing Weather Shelter can be accessed through the rear door not the main entrance.
- Hannah More Family Shelter located at 12041 Reisterstown, Md 21136- the Freezing Weather Shelter can be accessed through the main entrance.
- Westside Men’s Shelter located at 309 Redwood Circle Catonsville, MD 21228- the Freezing Weather Shelter can be accessed through the main entrance.
- Woodlawn Recreation Center located at 2120 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Gwynn Oak MD 21207-the Freezing Weather Shelter can be accessed at the far right of and next to the Woodlawn Sr. Center.

Application Process
|
Call the Coordinated Entry line during regular business hours or the Baltimore County DSS After Hours call center at 410-583-9398 outside of regular business hours for a referral but will accept walk ins at the designated Freezing Weather shelter locations.

The family must provide birth certificates or other documentation showing guardianship. Call for more information.
