Description OVERVIEW: Provides continuum of mental health and substance use services for residents of Garrett County. Crisis Services are offered 24/7 either in person or by phone after normal office hours.

SERVICES:
1) SAME-DAY APPOINTMENTS: Individuals that walk-in to the agency that desires to initiate services may meet briefly with a clinician if staffing permits and a mutually convenient appointment shall be scheduled for the individual.

2) OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH: Provides diagnosis and evaluation of a wide variety of mental health concerns, medications management when appropriate, as well as individual, family, groups and marital therapy. Provides referrals for psychological testing, child tele-mental health, family therapy, play therapy, child/adolescent group therapy are also available. Therapist available to meet with children at their school. Collaboration with school staff to support the child’s needs.

3) OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE USE: Provides assessment/evaluation for Garrett County residents and their families who are having problems with substance abuse. Counseling is provided for groups, individuals, women, families, couples and dual diagnosis clients. Referrals to other agencies/ facilities are established when necessary.

4) INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE USE: Program that uses a group and individual format is required. The IOP requires a minimum of 13 weeks of treatment. Patients must be screened for admission.

5) NALOXONE TRAINING: Offers an educational program that includes an understanding of opioids, recognizing signs and symptoms of an overdose, proper rescue breathing techniques, proper administration of naloxone, and care for the individual until the paramedics arrive. Individuals must be 18 and older related to and/or working with individuals dealing with opiate substance use. Provided to family members, caregivers, guardians, and health/human service workers. Call for the Overdose Response Training days and times.
