CORONAVIRUS PUBLIC INFORMATION: Baltimore City Health Department is working in collaboration with other Baltimore City and Maryland State Agencies, as well as healthcare partners to respond to COVID-19 cases in Baltimore. They are reviewing and updating their plans and protocols for responding to infectious disease outbreak and providing information to the public about how to protect against coronavirus. Healthcare providers reporting a possible person under investigation (PUI) for the 2019 novel coronavirus can call the Baltimore City Health Department. If someone needs assistance after hours, on a weekend, or a holiday, they can call 311.
BCHD COVID Call Center: Assists callers with questions related to COVID. The number is: 443-984-8650, open Mon-Fri 8AM - 6PM, and Sat 9AM -1PM.
INFORMATION FOR CLINICIANS: Healthcare providers with questions can call Baltimore City Health Department Acute Communicable Diseases 410-396-4436 during business hours or 410-396-3100 after hours, weekends. Providers should report all positive test results to the Baltimore City Health Department immediately, fax either a lab report or Form 1140 to 410-625-0688. Please include the ordering provider’s contact information for the public health investigation. It is also extremely helpful to include the admission note and other applicable notes such as Emergency Department note, Infectious Disease consult, and imaging results in the fax.
