Description Offers weatherization services to help low-income households improve the energy efficiency of their home. Services include:

- On-site home inspection to determine energy losses
- Inspection of heating and gas appliance safety and efficiency with possible repair or replacement of existing unit
- Installation of energy conservation and heat loss measures
- Post-work inspection of quality and safety

Note: Owners of rental properties are not charged when these services are provided for their qualifying tenants.

Eligibility Renters and homeowners who meet income eligibility requirements.

Application Process Visit website at www.nces.org to download an application, apply online by visiting www.caliheapapply.com or call for an application to be mailed. Renters: please note that both the renter/applicant and the owner need to sign the Energy Service agreements to receive weatherization services.
Documents Required -Completed and signed application. -Proof of income from ALL household members 18 and older covering the past 30 days from when they apply. -Copy of the household’s current energy bill(s) dated within the last 30 days
